Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics Working Group Report, 2015 : Download here

This report is produced by the Oxford Center for Animal Ethics, which was founded in 2006 to pave the way for ethical perspectives on animals through university teaching, research and publications. The Center is independent. It comprises an international community of over ninety academics from the sciences and humanities and over one hundred academic advisors. The report was written by a working group of twenty academics from six countries.

Drawing on knowledge gathered from a variety of disciplines, this report raises the ethical question in relation to animal experimentation, not only by examining the procedures themselves, but also by addressing issues such as the history of animal experimentation, its scientific validity, its philosophy, its institutionalization, and so-called controls, legislation, regulation, inspection, licensing and regulation.
