The two consortia EU-ToxRisk and PATROLS present the results of the assessment of chemicals and manufactured nanomaterials using animal-free methods.
February 2-3, 2021, online : Scientific Commission Conference: “Towards replacement of animals for scientific purposes”.
The themes addressed at the conference were: transparency on the use of animals in science, new education and training materials on alternative technologies, and confidence in the use of non-animal approaches.

Ten years after the adoption of the protection of animals used for scientific purposes directive, a collective of personalities and associations are calling on European parliamentarians to legislate on this issue. Two representatives of this group travelled to Brussels to propose and discuss possible legislation.
The event was attended by Muriel Obriet, Roland Cash, and opened and closed by David Cormand, Member of the European Parliament.
