The ALURES statistical database provides detailed data on the use of animals for scientific and educational purposes in the countries of the European Union and Norway:

Section 1: Numbers of animals used for the first time for research, regulatory testing, routine production, education and training purposes in the EU
Section 2: Details of all uses of animals for research, regulatory testing, routine production, education and training
Section 3: Numbers and uses of animals for the creation and maintenance of genetically altered animals in the EU

The main criteria for querying the database are: country, year, species, purpose, severity, origin and genetic status.
