For the first time, this symposium brings together scientists, entrepreneurs involved in research, lawyers, engineers, sociologists… to discuss alternatives to animal experimentation. The multidisciplinary dimension of the question of animal experimentation requires it to be addressed from the angles of ethics, science, law, politics and economics.
