Francopa is a Scientific Interest Group (GIS) created on July 6, 2007, at the request of the French Ministry of Research and the French Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM), to be the French platform dedicated to the development, validation and dissemination of alternative methods in animal experimentation.
INERIS (Institut national de l’environnement industriel et des risques) is one of the co-founders of the GIS, and is a public industrial and commercial establishment created in 1990 under the aegis of the French Ministry of the Environment.
