FC3R<\/a><\/strong> is a GIS (Scientific Interest Group), created in 2021, following the vote of the 2021-2030 Research Programming Law. The founding members of the GIS are Inserm<\/a>, CNRS<\/a>, INRAE<\/a>, INRIA<\/a>, CEA<\/a>, Institut Pasteur de Paris<\/a>, France Universit\u00e9s<\/a> and Udice<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its missions are :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Financing high-impact projects for the 3Rs <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Develop and disseminate training in the application of the 3Rs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Support research projects with 3R engineering services <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Encourage the deposit of unpublished lines and data <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Ensure transparent communication on the 3Rs principle and its application for scientific, regulatory and educational purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its activities are structured around a steering committee (COPIL), a management team, a scientific committee (CS) and an orientation and reflection council (COR): click here<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since its creation, the FC3R has developed a number of initiatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– the launch of calls for projects<\/a><\/strong> on 3R-related themes, in particular replacement<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– the award of “3R Awards<\/a><\/strong>” to researchers and people working in contact with laboratory animals who have made an exemplary commitment to the development and implementation of the 3Rs in France<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– the organization of webinars<\/a><\/strong>, online seminars on the 3Rs theme, with scientists sharing their expertise<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– the provision of French-language documentary resources on the 3Rs: FRIA directory<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– the possibility of submitting “short notes<\/a><\/strong>” to disseminate unpublished results, positive or negative; these are short articles, written in English, subject to a rapid evaluation and validation process, with assignment of a digital object identifier (DOI)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– the construction of a directory of skills in substitution methods in France ( in vitro, in silico, in chemico,<\/em> use of invertebrates, etc.): AREA<\/a><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FC3R has also organized its first 3R Days, on November 21-22, 2024, with a rich program of presentations: information and replays<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
